The present study deals with locally rotationally symmetric (LRS) Bianchi type II string cosmological models with perfect fluid distribution of matter. We consider two cases: (i) r+ l = 0 and (ii) r- l = 0 , where r and l are the rest energy density and the tension density of the string cloud, respectively. The physical properties of the models is discussed.
